Targeted violence: MQM supporter gunned down

A supporter of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was killed in an attack near UP Morr in North Karachi on Friday. Syed Mushtaq Hussain Zaidi, 52, was travelling in a car with his friend, Kamran, when two motorcyclists stopped their car and opened fire at them. Zaidi died and Kamran was injured. The assailants, however, fled. According to the police, the victim was a sympathiser of the MQM and lived in Block 21 of Federal B Area. He used to run a car showroom in North Karachi and had two children.
