Critically ill: Mehdi Hasan admitted to ICU

The doctors said that the 84-year-old ghazal singer had chest and urinary infections.

Mehdi Hasan was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night after he had trouble breathing.


He was admitted to the intensive care unit at a private hospital. The doctors said that the 84-year-old ghazal singer had chest and urinary infections. Hasan was born into a family of traditional musicians at Luna village, India, in 1927. His family migrated to Pakistan after 1947.
