New Post: US to accept Sherry’s credentials soon

Sherry is due to meet President Barack Obama to present her credentials on January 18.

WASHINGTON:
US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman is set to accept Sherry Rehman’s credentials as Pakistan’s ambassador to Washington. According to the US State Department, which looks after America’s relations with other nations, a closed press ceremony will take place at the Department of State office in Washington. Rehman has to present her credentials to the State Department and the US president and be accepted formally before she can officially begin her duties as ambassador. She is due to meet President Barack Obama to present her credentials on January 18.
