Kidnapping Victim: Body of naval employee found after 10 months

The corpse was wrapped in a cloth and was found at an empty plot in Machhar Colony.

The naval and Docks police found on Tuesday the remains of a naval employee who had been missing for the more than 10 months.


The corpse was wrapped in a cloth and was found at an empty plot in Machhar Colony. The police were informed about it by a suspect whom they had arrested earlier for being involved in the employee’s disappearance.


Abdul Rauf left his house, in Naval Quarters, Agra Taj Colony, to visit his tenants in Machhar Colony on February 19. He had been working at the sub-depot of the Pakistan Navy for 20 years. An FIR was registered at Kalri police station and the police were trying to find him with the help of naval intelligence.

SHO Asif Munawar said that the victim was killed shortly after his kidnapping. He said that the police also found a screw driver with a blood stain on it. The corpse was also stained with blood and was sent to Civil hospital for an autopsy.

The medico-legal officer, Lala Mubarak, Sindh police surgeon, Dr Hamid Padhiyar, will lead the medical board which will examine the body and ascertain the cause of death.
