Million pound baby & marijuana: Tinseltown talk

Snoop Dogg was arrested over the weekend after border control agents found a small amount of marijuana.

ISLAMABAD:

Million pound baby

Before anyone gets too excited, we mean currency, not weight. This is not Jabba the Hutt’s daughter but Jay Z and Beyonce Knowles’s three-day-old gift to the world. Already, baby Blue Ivy has incurred a whopping million pounds and she’s only three-days old, according to latest reports.

Baby Ivy, born in New York late on Saturday, has an endless list of amenities and goodies to look forward to: three separate nurseries in various properties across the US, special rooms, a Swarovski high chair by Carla Monchen, a handmade Ginza Tanaka rocking horse made out of gold, charm bracelets and even diamond rattles from Tiffany & Co. To add to the tribute, Jay Z released a new single called ‘Glory (Ft. B.I.C), featuring baby cries from our own Blue Ivy at the end.

What’s more, baby Ivy has already sparked an Illuminati controversy (her father is a suspected member), and dlisted.com offers a simple and effective formula for the rumours: “Blue Ivy = Eulb Yvi = Lucifer’s Daughter.” Others go on to say that Ivy stands for Illuminati’s Very Youngest.

At this rate, baby Ivy’s going to be on the cover of Vogue for her second birthday.

The Dogg house

While this doesn’t come as a shock to anyone who knows anything about the illustrious Snoop Dog, his latest arrest is as hilarious as it is newsworthy. The details came out today: the rapper was arrested in Sierra Blanca, Texas, after he was stopped at border patrol at 3 am on Saturday.

Ironically, it was Dogg’s namesake, a canine officer, who found the marijuana incriminating the rapper. “Upon entering the bus the canine alerted to a trashcan located at the rear of the vehicle where a red prescription bottle containing rolled marijuana cigarettes were located,” reports a spokesperson from the Sheriff’s office. A more extensive search produced two other containers with a total of 0.130 lbs of the good stuff.

Comic relief

British comedian and actor Ricky Gervais — now trim and fit — poses comically outside a plastic surgery clinic. “Some last minute preparation so I don’t look out of place at the Golden Globes,” says the 50 year old, already making digs at his peers and anticipating all the work (chemical peels, nip/tucks, Botox infusions, etc) the Golden Globe nominees will probably get done before the big event. Gervais is set to host the Golden Globes this year. He also took this impromptu photo shoot as an opportunity to show off his newly toned calves.
