Cricket: NBP canter to win

NBP cruised to a convincing nine-wicket win over Bank Al-Habib in the SBP Governor’s Cup Interbank Cricket Tournament, according to information provided by the organisers. Bank Al-Habib were dismissed for just 93 in their 20 overs, which NBP chased down comfortably courtesy Sajid Ali’s 52. Elsewhere, SBP also registered a nine-wicket win over Barclays, who batted first and were bowled out for a dismal 81. SBP reached the target for the loss of one wicket thanks to M Afzal’s unbeaten 52. Meanwhile, Bank Islami notched up a narrow 13-run win over ABL. Bank Islami batted first to put up 133 in their innings. In reply, ABL were restricted to 120 for eight.
