Facing prosecution: 100 kidnappers arrested, says Quetta DIG
The search was conducted on a tip-off.

The police have so far arrested 100 people for carrying out kidnappings in Quetta and they are facing prosecution, said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Nazir Kurd. Addressing a news conference he said that the police along with the Frontier Corps (FC) have seized 700 kg of drugs from a passenger bus and apprehended the driver. The search was conducted on a tip-off. It was a joint operation carried out by the police and the FC. Kurd also said that the kidnappers of a British doctor associated with the Red Cross have been identified and will be arrested soon. He also informed reporters that some progress had been made in the investigation into the explosion outside the residence of Shafiq Mengal.
