Khanpur circle police has arrested 1,149 proclaimed offenders and 85 other criminals of belonging to 15 motorious gangs during 2011, said a statement on Sunday. It said the police recovered stolen goods worth Rs12.9 million from these criminals. The statement said 3,332 cases were registered in the year in five police stations of the Khanpur circle. Of these, 284 involved possession of illegal weapons and 578 narcotics.
