Press Club Attack: Three critically injured
Three journalists suffered critical injuries in an attack at the Bahawalpur Press Club.
BAHAWALPUR:
Three journalists suffered critical injuries in an attack at the Bahawalpur Press Club on Friday night. Fifteen others were also injured in the incident. These were taken to Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, and discharged after getting first aid. The three with critical injuries were under treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital. Press Club members said the police were reluctant in taking action in the incident. They alleged that the attack was ordered by the district administration. Civil Lines police station house officer Tassaduq Abbas rejected that the police were not taking action in the incident. They said an inquiry was underway to fix responsibility in the incident.
