Five militants were killed and two hideouts destroyed when security forces bombarded militants hideouts in Upper Orakzai, claimed sources on Friday.
Six security personnel were also also severely injured when lightning struck a post in the area of Ghaljo, Upper Orakzai.
The injured were shifted to the hospital.
At least a foot snowfall has been reported in parts of Orakzai Agency, making access to the area difficult.
