Panel formed to hear sprinters’ doping case

KARACHI:
The Anti-Doping Organisation of Pakistan (ADOP) has formed a three-member panel to hear appeals against the doping ban placed on national sprinters Sadaf Siddiqui and Javeria Hassan.

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) spokesman Faik Chachar announced that director general Hamza Gillani will head the committee which also includes the Athletic Federation secretary Khalid Mehmood and the Pakistan Olympics Association’s Medical & Scientific Commission member Lubna Sibtain.


The spokesman added that the committee will hear the case tomorrow.

The sprinters received two-year bans after they failed dope tests that were conducted during the national camp for the upcoming Commonwealth and the Asian Games.
