Athletics: Abideen declared best athlete
Abideen won gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m races.

Zainul Abideen of Dera Ismail Khan was declared the best athlete at the Inter-Regional Athletics Championship, while Peshawar clinched the overall event with 37 points. Abideen won gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m races. Dera Ismail Khan secured 27 points to come in second, while Kohat-Bannu bagged 18 points. Dera Ismail Khan won the volleyball and cricket events, while Peshawar were victorious in athletics.
