Crime: Bank manager kidnapped

Manager went missing after leaving the bank on receiving a phone call in the afternoon.

A National Bank of Pakistan employee was kidnapped in Saddar police precincts on Wednesday.



Tariq Mehmud, 46, was the manager of the NBP’s Langrewali branch. According to details, Tariq Mehmud went missing after leaving the bank on receiving a phone call in the afternoon.

Later, his family received a call from him informing them that he had been kidnapped. He told the family that the kidnappers were demanding Rs25 million in ransom for his release. Mehmud’s family said he had no rivalry with anyone. Police have stated investigations in the case.
