Pakistanis reach quarter-finals of under-19 event at the British Junior Open Squash Championship in Sheffield, England

Pakistan’s Danish Atlas, Nasir Iqbal and Hamza Bukhari reached the quarter-finals of the under-19 event at the British Junior Open Squash Championship in Sheffield, England.
Unseeded Bukhari registered the biggest upset of the event when he downed Egyptian third-seed Mazen Hisham 11-6, 11-5, 11-6. Iqbal stretched to beat England’s Tom Ford 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-4, while Atlas secured an 11-5, 11-8, 8-11, 11-5 win over another local-hope Adam Auckland.
Meanwhile, Tayyab Alam, Ali Bukhari and Ammad Fareed entered the last-eight stage of the U17 event while Israr Ahmed confirmed a semi-final berth in the U15 competition.
