Access to Market: High Court disposes of traders’ pleaa

Grievance of traders addressed as the walls erected around the market’s exit and entrance points had been bulldozed.

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday disposed of a contempt of court petition against Model Town assistant commissioner and Market Committee secretary for not allowing traders easy access to the Kot Lakhpat fruit and vegetable market.



A local commission appointed by the court stated that the grievance of the petitioners (traders) had been addressed as the walls erected around the market’s exit and entrance points had been bulldozed. The Model Town AC and Market Committee secretary also appeared before the court and undertook to comply with court’s orders.
