Bomb attack: Shutter-down strike in Quetta, Khuzdar
The police have rounded up several suspects in this connection.
QUETTA:
A shutter-down strike was observed in Quetta and Khuzdar for a third consecutive day to protest against the bomb attack at the residence of Mir Shafiq Mengal, the son of former acting chief minister. The powerful blast had left 16 people dead and over 30 injured. All the shops and markets in Kalat and Khuzdar remained closed on Monday, bringing all business and trade activities to a standstill. The roads and streets wore a deserted look. Stringent security measures were adopted during the strike to prevent any untoward incident. Mengal survived the blast. The police have rounded up several suspects in this connection.
