Health Drive: Hepatitis shots for law enforcers
The personnel who test positive for the disease will be treated.
KARACHI:
Police officers will be screened for hepatitis from the first week of January 2012, under the Hepatitis Prevention and Control Programme. The personnel who test positive for the disease will be treated. IG Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, directed the concerned officials to chalk out a complete plan of action for the drive. He said that the programme should be implemented in such a manner that it would not interfere with the duties of the law enforcers. He also said that sanitation at police stations should be improved and pure water should be supplied to these facilities.
