Football: Cole mulls permanent Lille move
The midfielder has scored three times in 15 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season.
LONDON:
Lille midfielder Joe Cole seems inclined to seek a permanent move to France when his Liverpool loan deal expires at the close of the season. Following a free transfer from Chelsea in July 2010, Cole failed to make an impact at Liverpool but appears to have rediscovered his form during his spell at French side Lille. The midfielder has scored three times in 15 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season. “I’m really happy at Lille,” said Cole. “If things continue like this, it would make sense for me to stay. I’ve started well here and I’m going to keep getting better and better.”
