Boxing: Tyson denies Dubai plans
“There is a rumour about me being in Dubai to do an appearance at a fight match, which is not true,” said Tyson.
DUBAI:
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has dismissed reports that he would be making an appearance at the Arab Boxing World Championships in Festival City, Dubai later this month. Tyson was reported to have agreed to ring-side appearances as the guest of honour for a series of fights on January 21 and 22 along with British heavyweight boxer Danny Williams. “There is a rumour about me being in Dubai to do an appearance at a fight match, which is not true,” said Tyson. “Sorry to all my Dubai fans. Unfortunately, a bogus promoter pretending to represent me made an unlawful deal.”
