Quetta blast death toll reaches 16
Police recover nine bombs from site and nearby buildings, defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.

The number of deaths from the Friday evening explosion in Quetta increased, taking the death toll to 16 on Saturday, reported Express News.
The bomb had exploded in front of the house of Shafiq Mengal, the son of former federal minister Naseer Mengal.
According to the police, one more body was recovered from the debris of the buildings on Abab Karam Road, which were destroyed in the blast.
Police also recovered nine bombs from the site and nearby buildings, which have been defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
While a case against the incident has been registered at the Saryab Police Station, the police have arrested more than a dozen suspected assailants.
The entire city of Quetta was rocked by the explosion which was heard within a radius of several kilometres. A house and several cars parked nearby were gutted in the fire triggered by the blast.
The blast injured at least 35 people, while wrecked nearby buildings and shops.
