Militancy in k-p: Six schools destroyed in one month

Educational facilities, government installations and security posts have been past targets of terrorists in Peshawar.

PESHAWAR:
A recently built government run high school for girls was blown up by militants in the suburbs of Peshawar, leaving the building partially damaged, the police said. SHO Abidur Rehman told The Express Tribune that the school was located in the village of Sheikh Muhammadi. “There were two huge explosions, after which we discovered that two rooms of the school were damaged.” Rehman said that a search operation was launched in the nearby areas and three suspects had been taken into custody, adding that their interrogation is underway.  Almost six schools have been destroyed in settled areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa this month.
