Kidnapped health worker recovered from Nasirabad
The health worker had been kidnapped by a group of armed men from the Nasirabad area a few days back.
The Frontier Corps (FC) recovered a kidnapped worker engaged in an anti-polio campaign and seized around 10 kilogrammes of explosives during a raid at a camp in the Chatter area of Nasirabad.
According to the FC spokesman, paramilitary troops Sibi Scouts carried out a raid at a camp and recovered the kidnapped health worker, Gulzar. The health worker had been kidnapped by a group of armed men from the Nasirabad area a few days back.
There was an exchange of fire between FC personnel and miscreants. The brother of the kidnapper, Commander Chena was also arrested.
“The kidnappers escaped from the scene taking advantage of the darkness on Thursday night,” said the FC spokesman.
A wireless set, four chargers and 10kg explosives were also recovered.
