Canal Road Widening: Project to finish by first week of Jan
Total cost extended to Rs1,513 million.

The canal road widening project will be completed in the first week of January 2012, a spokesman for the National Logistics Cell and Communication and Works Department said on Thursday. The deadline for the project was extended by 25 days after installation of LGD lighting horticulture, foot paths, drainage and telephone and gas lines were included. NESPAK’s resident officer Muhammad Shahid said that initially it was a Rs1,016 million project. However, after the additions, extra funds were released taking the cost to Rs1,513 million.
