Football: ‘Henry, Podolski would boost Arsenal’
There have been widespread reports that manager Arsene Wenger has decided to re-sign Henry.
LONDON:
Thierry Henry would fit right back into his former team Arsenal, according to German defender Per Mertesacker who says the club should also consider signing Lukas Podolski. There have been widespread reports that manager Arsene Wenger has decided to re-sign Henry, the club’s record goal-scorer, on a two-month loan deal from the New York Red Bulls. “Henry is very experienced and he’s a great opportunity for us,” said Mertesacker. “He’s been playing very well in training. He still has the same attitude he had when he played for Arsenal.” Mertesacker said he would also like to see Podolski at the club. “He’s a powerful player. He’s a good striker and his left foot is unbelievable.”
