Civil Lines: Van driver goes missing; car lifted

A man was allegedly abducted and a car was lifted in Civil Lines area on Wednesday. The police sources said that Javed Iqbal, a van driver, went missing when he was returning home after work. He handed over the van to his assistant on Tuesday evening and had left for house, police said. 



Earlier, Sabir Hussain, father of the missing man told the Civil Lines police that his son had gone for work on Tuesday morning and did not return. When Hussain contacted his son’s assistant he told him that Iqbal had left for home. The police registered a case and started searching for him.

Meanwhile, Adeel Mehmood lodged a complaint with the same police that his Suzuki pick-up (PH-769) was stolen from a roadside in Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

Moreover, the same police nabbed Ehsan Abbas during routine checking and seized 150 grams of hashish from his possession. The police registered separate cases under the relevant laws and started investigations.
