Public service commission to submit records of pharmacists removed by CM to court

Counsel also claimed that CM exercised his authority to regularise hundreds of other employees of health department.

LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday ordered the submission of examination and interview records of pharmacists who had filed petitions claiming they were removed from their offices on political grounds by the Chief Minister (CM).

The Punjab Public Service Commission was asked to submit the documents on January 31, the next date for hearing.

The counsel for the removed pharmacists argued in the court that the CM not only terminated his clients but also exercised his authority to regularise hundreds of other employees of health department. The counsel asked the court to take notice of this injustice.

A law officer informed the court that during the last three years as many as 11,058 contractual employees from grade 16 to 18, had been regularised on the recommendations of recruitment committees.
