FATA Intelligence official shot dead in Peshawar
Khan was leaving after saying his evening prayers when three shots were fired at him.

An Assistant Director of the Intelligence Bureau, FATA, Sairajuddin Khan was gunned down by unknown men on the Dora road in Peshawar on Tuesday evening.
Shot within Yaqatoot Police Station remits, Khan was leaving a mosque after offering his evening prayers when he was fired upon by unknown men, police said. SSP Operations, Tahir Ayub told The Express Tribune that the intelligence official sustained injuries in his head and neck. “Three gunshots were heard, and the official sustained injuries in his head and neck,” he added.
Khan was shifted to the hospital, however he succumbed to his injuries. He hailed from Dalan area of Hangu, sources said.
Eye witnesses said that they saw three men who fired at Khan, however, since there was no electricity and illumination was poor, they could not properly sight the men.
In October this year Ikramullah, the assistant director FIA was also gunned down in the same area.
Earlier in the day, a sub-inspector posted at the Inquilab Police station in Badhber was shot dead by unknown men. Police officials said that they launched an immediate search operation but none had been taken into custody as yet.
Authorities in Peshawar say that militants have changed their tactics and now tend to target security officials that have crackdown against them. A number of security officials have been receiving threats and many have been targeted as well.
