Asphyxiated: Carbon monoxide kills four labourers
The incident took place at the construction site of a bungalow in the Thano Bula Khan area in Jamshoro.
HYDERABAD:
Four labourers died of asphyxiation after inhaling carbon monoxide. The incident took place at the construction site of a bungalow in the Thano Bula Khan area in Jamshoro, which is located at a distance of around 65 kilometers from Hyderabad. The labourers burnt wood in a tiny store room where they intended to spend the night. “The room was completely packed and that is also a reason why the workers suffocated,” said the Medical Superintendent of the Thano Bula Khan Taluka Hospital. The labourers belonged to Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and Jamshoro. The relatives did not allow postmortem to be conducted and were given the bodies for burial.
