The Mona Lisa experience
Pakistan’s model and actor Mona Lisa has said that her experience of working in a Bollywood film was good. Mona Lisa stars opposite Indian actor and musician Himesh Reshammiya in Kajraare. The film’s release has been delayed till Eid and Mona Lisa said that the exact opening date will be announced soon.
The actor said that she was very happy that the producer and director of the film Pooja Bhatt signed her, a Pakistani television actor, on as the film’s heroine. What made the actor even happier was that she got the opportunity to go to India as a Pakistani star and represent her country. Mona Lisa said, “To become a successful model or actor in Pakistan is very difficult and one has to take a hard route to stardom and this journey is often so difficult that many actors fall into depression and give up. However, when the same talent goes to India then they are welcomed back into the Pakistani film industry with open arms and people are willing to give them anything to work in a film. We have to facilitate our own actors and make them stars in our own country and give them the opportunity to work in India and other countries as well.”
Mona Lisa said that she is a model as well as an actor and this was the reason that Bhatt gave her the opportunity to work in Kajraare. She added that the film’s songs and promo have been welcomed in India and received positive feedback.
