PTI office attacked in Taunsa

DSP Hotani says investigations under way and assailants will be arrested soon.

TAUNSA:
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers protested against an attack by unknown men on a PTI office in Taunsa, district Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday.

According to reports, unknown men attacked a PTI office on the Indus National High way where they opened indiscriminate firing on the office and then entered it.

President PTI Taunsa said that the assailants had taken with them computers, costly equipment, record books of members and other official records from the office.

They also tore and burnt PTI flags.


PTI workers protested against the attack and raised slogans against the government.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged in the local police station against unknown persons. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shakeel Ahmed Hotani assured PTI officials and workers that the criminals would be arrested  soon.

“We have been investigating and have collected some evidence from the site to trace the criminals and will soon present the final report,” Hotani said.

Taunsa has always been considered as a hub of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
