Fired Up: Awan dismisses threats to democracy
Awan says that all the institutions of the country would work within their set parameters.
KARACHI:
Former law minister and PPP leader Senator Babar Awan on Saturday said that democracy does not face any threat in the country as the nation was behind the government. Awan was talking to media personnel upon arrival at the Karachi Airport. “Let me say it explicitly that there is no danger to democracy as the nation is ready to defend it,” he said. This is so because parliament is united, he added. Awan said that all the institutions of the country would work within their set parameters which would help the government to concentrate on problems of the people.
