KARACHI:
Inspector General Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmed Shah directed the police on Thursday to step up security measures on the eve of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birthday and Christmas in the entire province. He called for random snap checking, picketing, patrolling and deputation of personnel in civilian dress. He also ordered all supervisors and police stations to be on the alert for all churches, missionary schools and Christian community and residential areas and for the Quaid’s mausoleum for security of government officials.
