Man commits self-immolation in Khanewal
Hasan's parents say that the reason behind his suicide attempt was “lack of pocket money.”

A young man in Khanewal committed self-immolation after he failed to get married to the girl of his choice, Express News reported on Friday.
Sources said that Hasan, a resident of colony number 3 in Khanewal, locked himself in his bathroom and set fire to himself.
On hearing his screams, family members and neighbours broke down the bathroom door and rushed him to the district hospital. The hospital staff declared his condition critical and shifted him to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
Hasan's parents however said that the reason behind his suicide attempt was “lack of pocket money.”
Earlier this month, a mentally unstable woman in a village in Chak Beli Khan killed her infant niece and her mother before setting herself alight. Saima Bibi, 30, however survived the suicide attempt and was admitted for treatment at a hospital.
