Law And Order: Police seize 1,750 liquor bottles
Acting on a tip off Westridge police intercepted a vehicle on Peshawar Road and recovered the bottles.

The Rawalpindi police on Thursday arrested a suspected bootlegger and seized a large quantity of liquor, police sources told The Express Tribune. Acting on a tip-off, the Westridge police intercepted a vehicle on Peshawar Road. Upon searching the vehicle, the police seized 1,750 bottles of liquor. The police took the driver of the vehicle, Muhammad Asif, into custody.
Moreover, a housemaid was booked for stealing cash from her employer’s house. Tasneem Afzal lodged a report with the police that her maid, Shaheen, had allegedly stolen Rs30,000 from her house.
Meanwhile, Khalid Waheed, a resident of Dhoke Gujran lodged a report with the same police that carjackers had stolen his taxi cab (OU-328) from his house. The police registered separate cases under the relevant laws and started investigations.
