Pakistan’s top golfer Shabbir Iqbal maintained his domination on the national professional circuit after retaining the Sindh Open Golf Championship title which concluded here yesterday at the Arabian Sea Country Club.
Iqbal fired a two-under par 70, accumulating 204 points. He surpassed rival Matloob Ahmed by three points. Muhammad Munir claimed third position followed by Imdad Hussain who finished fourth.
Suffian Dhaduk grabbed the amateur gross event trophy with a score of 224 while Muhammad Rehman ended runner-up in the competition. The net event title went to Umair Saleem with a total of 209 points while Daniyal Asim won the junior category Under-18 event.
