Survey Findings: UNICEF says no to Section 89
UNICEF conducted a survey in which more than 3,500 children were interviewed across the country.
In 2005, UNICEF in collaboration with the Pakistan government conducted a survey in which more than 3,500 children were interviewed across the country.
The findings stated that all children reported having received corporal punishment and seven per cent of them sustained serious injuries from it. The UNCRC has recommended that Section 89 of the PPC be repealed.
