British police said Tuesday they were questioning a Pakistani man suspected of a terrorism offence after he was arrested at Birmingham International Airport in central England.
The 22-year-old, who is studying in Britain on a student visa, arrived on a flight from Dubai Monday evening and was detained after being found in possession of a suspicious document, police said.
He was arrested "on suspicion of being in possession of a document likely to be of use to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism (contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000)", a police statement said.
