Zardari returned under deal with army: Sanaullah
Sanaullah terms Zardari’s arrival the repercussion of a ‘covert’ deal between the Pakistani Army.
LAHORE:
Just like his sudden departure, ambiguity, rumours and conspiracy theories are surrounding the president’s arrival back home.
In the latest development, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has termed President Asif Ali Zardari’s arrival the repercussion of a ‘covert’ deal between the Pakistani Army, the president himself and some other crucial stakeholders in the equation.
He said that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani brokered a deal between Zardari and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, and facilitated talks between them, ensuring Zardari’s safe return to the country.
Criticising the government’s dealing of the entire episode, Sanaullah said that a handout carrying the details of Zardari’s health conditions should be circulated to the public.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz denied the law minister’s claim regarding a secret deal between the president and the army.
