Chile’s Eduardo Vargas, formerly tipped to be a Chelsea transfer target, has confirmed that he will be joining Italian club Napoli when the transfer window reopens. The January move, worth £11.5 million, will see Vargas depart from Universidad de Chile to link up with fellow South Americans Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi in the Serie A. The highly-rated winger could also potentially line up for Napoli when his new club face Chelsea in a Champions League last-16 encounter.
