Hockey: WAPDA clinch women’s championship

The team scored 104 goals in nine games without conceding.

KARACHI:
Wapda beat Sindh 6-0 in their last match of the National Women’s Hockey Championship to clinch the trophy in Lahore. The team scored 104 goals in nine games without conceding. Railways finished second with eight wins while Army were third with seven. Wapda’s Rabia Qadeer was named Player of the Tournament, while Railway’s Hina Kanwal claimed the top goal-scorer’s award with a tally of 42 goals.
