A nephew of a key commander of the Lashkar-e-Islam (LeI) was killed in mysterious circumstances in a remote valley of the Khyber tribal region.
Imran Khan, nephew of LeI senior commander Sabeel Afridi, was loitering outside his house in the Saray area of Tirah Valley when a bullet hit him in the head, killing him on the spot. It wasn’t immediately known who fired the gunshot and why – however, the possibility of sniper fire could not be ruled out.
