Ahmed leads at Sindh Open Golf
KARACHI:
Lahore’s Matloob Ahmed led the field on the second day of the Sindh Open Golf, shooting six under par 66 to go 11 under par while putting up a tough fight against defending champion Shabbir Iqbal.
Iqbal currently holds second spot with 67 to go 10 under par for the championship being held at the Arabian Sea Country Club.
Iqbal’s arch-rival Mohammad Munir remained consistent as he held the third spot with one under par 71. Karachi’s Jawed Inayat climbed up to fourth with a four-under-par 68 followed by Imdad Hussain, who returned with two under par 70 to stay fifth on the board.
Pakistan Navy’s Ansar Mehmood and Amjad Yousuf shared the sixth position while Talib Hussain, Sajjad Khan and Waheed Baloch shared seventh spot.
Ghani Khan won the Senior Professional title finishing with a total of one over par over 36 holes. Shaukat Ali shared the second spot with Mohammad Shafiq.
