KARACHI:
Chairman of Elixir Securities, Ghias Khan today announced the appointment of Junaid Iqbal as the new Chief Executive Officer. Junaid succeeds outgoing CEO, Tariq Choudhry. Prior to joining Elixir Securities, Junaid Iqbal served as the CEO of BMA Financial Services. He started his career as an Energy Trader with American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio. He worked in the media and then went on to join the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as Head of Financial Analysis where he had the opportunity to represent the SECP in the Senate’s and the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Finance. Iqbal was also invited by the White House as a delegate to President Obama’s Summit on Entrepreneurship in Washington DC. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Board of Advisors of AIESEC in Karachi, Vice-Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Pakistan, and as Treasurer for the Charter for Compassion.
