Negligence: WASA officials sent to jail
WASA executive engineer, a sub-divisional officer (SDO) and an overseer on 14-days judicial remand.
LAHORE:
Judicial Magistrate Sahir Islam on Friday sent a WASA executive engineer, a sub-divisional officer (SDO) and an overseer on 14-days judicial remand. The three are accused of negligence leading to the death of a fourth class student Rachel Baig who fell into a manhole on her way home from school. Nawab Town police produced Executive Engineer Abdul Manan, SDO Sulaiman Nisar and Overseer Sher Khan.
