Murder: Three brothers get death sentence

Brothers sentenced for killing two men who had told them to stop teasing women working in their fields.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Muhammad Javedul Hassan Chishti on Friday awarded death sentence on two counts each to three brothers for killing two men who had told them to stop teasing women working in their fields.


The AD&SJ also ordered the three brothers to pay Rs100,000 each to the heirs of the deceased.


The men will undergo a six-month detention if the fines are not paid.

Nasir, Adil and Muhammad Asif had gunned down Muhammad Mansha and Muhammad Ashfaq when the two men had stopped the three from teasing women.

On January 5, 2006, Hafiz Anwarul Haq, the brother of deceased Muhammad Munsha, had filed the complaint with Batapur police against Muhammad Arif, Ashiq, Shehbaz Bibi, Nasir, Muhammad Munsha and Muhammad Ashfaq.

The judge acquitted Arif, Ashiq and Shehnaz Bibi.
