Saleem Shehzad murder: ‘Commission’s report within 2 to 3 weeks’

'It is hoped that the commission will be able to submit its final report to the government within two to three weeks.'

ISLAMABAD:
A commission, investigating the murder of journalist Saleem Shehzad, on Tuesday said that it would be submitting its report to the government within two to three weeks.

Headed by Justice Saqib Nisar of the Supreme Court and including Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court Agha Rafique, IG Punjab Javed Iqbal, IG Islamabad Binyamin and PFUJ President was constituted by the chief justice of Pakistan.


“It is hoped that the commission will be able to submit its final report to the government within two to three weeks from today,” an official statement quoted Secretary of the commission as saying. The secretary said that some of the important witnesses were either abroad or were unable to appear.
