“Encouraging to see that the majority of the gold medallists were girls,” K-P Governor.

PESHAWAR:

Now that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has gained autonomy, we are hopeful we will be able to prioritise education, stated K-P Governor Barrister Masood Kausar at an annual convocation on Tuesday.

During the ceremony, 185 degrees and 32 gold medals were awarded to students graduating from CECOS University of Information Technology and Emerging Sciences. The governor said it was “Encouraging to see that the majority of the gold medallists were girls.” “The literacy rate in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) is very low, and the female literacy rate is less than 3 per cent. “Our priority now is to establish as many schools as we can.”

The provincial youth minster said his ministry will launch a “mammoth project” to establish educational institutions and provide technical education to the youth. He added that the Ministry of Tourism is going to establish 10 youth hostels in the province.
