Walk Out: Journalists protest allotment of plots
Protest against delay in issuance of Journalist Housing Society allotment letters to 300 council members.
LAHORE:
Journalists observed a token walk out from the proceedings of the provincial assembly on Tuesday against delay in issuance of Journalist Housing Society allotment letters to 300 council members of the Lahore Press Club. Opposition Leader Raja Riaz led several PPP and PML-Q MPAs in joining hands with the journalists to expressed solidarity with the cause. Riaz demanded that the government issue allotment letters to the 300 journalists and restore possession of plots grabbed by the land mafia. Journalists will hold a demonstration in front of the Punjab assembly on Wednesday (today).
