LDA all set to get kids to play
Authority plans to develop seven playgrounds.

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will develop seven sports grounds in the city to encourage games and healthy activities among the youngsters.
The LDA has invited sealed tenders from a list of approved firms and contractors for provision and improvement of sports facilities at selected places.
The development of a park in Sector I-C-II Township behind the Green Town police station will be executed at a cost of Rs5.6 million. Construction of a sports hall near Ittefaq Hospital will cost Rs2.8 million and setting up of a badminton court at Farrukhabad, Shahdara, will be carried out at a cost of Rs240,000.
The LDA will also construct a cricket pavilion at Ideal Park (near Rescue-1122 bay) at Quaid-i- Azam Town with an amount of Rs4.9 million.
The construction of a boundary wall around the park near Allah Hoo Chowk, Johar Town, will be accomplished at a cost of Rs3.5 million.
A cricket pavilion and boundary wall at the park besides Mian Plaza, Johar Town, will be built at a cost of Rs9.4 million and the construction of a sports facilities in the park in front of Mian Plaza, Johar Town will cost Rs8.3 million.
