Promoting Education: PEF to partner with 1,000 private schools
As many as 4,400 schools with enrolment of 300,000 students have applied.

To provide quality education to underprivileged students, the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has decided to partner with 1,000 private schools in 36 districts under its Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS) programme.
As many as 4,400 schools with enrolment of 300,000 students have applied.
PEF has already completed quality assurance tests of 299 schools in 34 districts to check the suitability of applying schools, adding that 856,000 deserving students in 29 districts are currently enjoying free education.
